At this time, funding is provided for the Ph.D. portion of the program only.  Matriculating students are responsible for all tuition and fees during the M.D. portion of the program.

Funding is periodically available through the Armar and Umeko Strauss Endowed Scholarship, established through the generous support of Armar Strauss, M.D., Ph.D.  Students who receive funding from this endowed scholarship are known as "Strauss Scholars".

Each year, the M.D./Ph.D. Program attempts to recruit one individual designated for the Philosophy/Bioethics track, if an exceptional applicant is accepted by the Department of Philosophy and the School of Medicine, and is deemed sufficiently competitive by the M.D./Ph.D. Admissions Committee.
