The Betty Lou Ourisman Breast Health Center offers the physical examination and imaging services of health care professionals who exclusively subspecialize in the breast. Devoted solely to breast health care, these doctors, nurses and technologists - working within steps of each other - afford seamless, confident, accurate medical management.

Shawna Willey, MD, is the Director of the Betty Lou Ourisman Breast Health Center. A respected breast surgeon, Dr. Willey is a well-known leader in breast health in the Washington DC area. Before joining Lombardi, Dr. Willey directed the breast program at George Washington University Medical Center. Dr. Willey believes strongly in Georgetown's tradition of focusing on both excellent clinical care and research. She divides her time between treating women with breast cancer and conducting research to benefit women in the future. She is currently studying the expanded use of ductal lavage for patients with previous breast cancer treated with breast-conserving surgery and radiation.

Breast evaluation and monitoring services are provided by the Center's co-Director, Robert Warren, MD. Dr. Warren devotes his clinical time exclusively to breast physical examination and management and monitoring of any positive findings. Dr. Warren also offers patient education and training in breast self-examination. A private training area with breast simulators encourages the patient to learn or improve self -examination techniques.

Elizabeth D. Feldman, MD, is an attending breast surgeon and assistant professor in the Department of General Surgery. Dr. Feldman received her medical degree from the University of Maryland Medical School in 1998, after graduating magna cum laude from the State University of New York at Binghamton. She has held residencies at Georgetown University Hospital and Penn State Hershey Medical Center, completing her residency in General Surgery in 2007. Board-certified, Dr. Feldman completed a Breast Surgery Fellowship at Anne Arundel Medical Center. During her surgical residency, she also completed a combined basic science and clinical research fellowship in surgical oncology at the National Cancer Institute. Dr. Feldman has presented at several national meetings, and has been published in peer-reviewed journals including Clinical Cancer Research, Annals of Surgical Oncology and the Journal of Gastrointestinal Surgery. She is a member of the Society of Surgical Oncology, American Society of Breast Surgeons, American Society of Breast Diseases, American Medical Women’s Association, Association of Women Surgeons and American College of Surgeons.

Minna Manalo, MSN, CNRP, is a Certified Nurse Practitioner in the Ourisman Breast Health Center. She received her BSN from University of Virginia in 1994, and MSN from the Institute of Health Professions at Massachusetts General Hospital in 1999, with dual-certification as an Adult and Women's Health Care Nurse Practitioner. She has previous experience in adult internal medicine at MGH in Boston, MA, where she grew an interest in women's health and breast cancer. Her current clinical practice involves management of patients who are newly diagnosed with breast cancer or other breast diseases, and promotion of screening techniques. In August 2003, she became a certified breast health specialist. Her current clinical practice involves management of patients who are newly diagnosed with breast cancer or other breast diseases, promotion of screening techniques, and patient education and community outreach.

Ann McMahon, NP, is a Board Certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner and Certified Breast Care Nurse in the Ourisman Breast Health Center. She received her BSN from Boston College in 2006, and MSN from Boston College in 2007. She has previous experience working in medical oncology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA. She works collaboratively with surgical oncologist, Dr. Elizabeth Feldman, and has her own independent clinical practice. Her current practice involves management of patients who are newly diagnosed with breast cancer or other breast diseases, women at high risk for breast cancer development, breast cancer risk reduction strategies, breast health promotion, patient education and community outreach.

Lyndsay Anderson, NP, is a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner in the Ourisman Breast Health Center. She received her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from The University of Virginia. She began her career as a nurse on the Adult Medical-Surgical Oncology unit at Georgetown University Hospital in 2007. She obtained her Master’s of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner degree at Georgetown University in 2011. She began work in the Ourisman Breast Health Center in 2012. Her current clinical practice involves management of patients at high risk for breast cancer and surgical treatment of those with newly diagnosed breast cancer. Her practice interests include patient education, promotion of screening techniques and breast cancer risk reduction strategies. She is a Certified Oncology Nurse.

Bridget Oppong, MD, is an attending physician in the Division of Breast Surgery at Georgetown University Hospital Department of Surgery. She received her MD in 2004 from the University of Rochester School of Medicine, and continued on in Rochester to complete a General Surgery Residency in 2010. From 2010-2011, she obtained additional training as a Breast Surgical Oncology Fellow at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. Dr. Oppong is interested in outcomes and disparities research, triple negative breast cancer, and fertility preservation for younger women after cancer diagnosis. She also has an interest in international breast health and improving cancer care in developing countries.
