Research at Georgetown Lombardi
Intramural Grant Mechanisms
Georgetown Lombardi has two intramural grant mechanisms, which are awarded each year:
ACS Young Investigator Awards
The Young Investigator Awards, given out annually, are sponsored by the American Cancer Society (ACS) to provide funding for the initiation of promising new projects by junior faculty members so they can obtain preliminary results. The goal it to enable them to compete successfully for national research grants.
CCSG Developmental Funds Awards
The purpose of the CCSG Developmental Funds Award is to encourage synergy among investigators, both within and across programs, and to foster new collaborations. Funded by the National Cancer Institute through Georgetown Lombardi's Core Grant, the focus is on team science.
The Center for Cancer Systems Biology (CCSB) U54 Awards
The CCSB U54 Awards are designed to support pilot research programs in areas relevant to the goals of Georgetown Lombardi's CCSB.
Congratulations to the recipients of the 2010/2011 ACS Young Investigator, CCSG Developmental Funding and The Center for Cancer Systems Biology U54 Awards!
