Hoops 4 Hope Basketball Tournament and Silent Auction, May 18, 2013
When: Saturday, May 18, from 4:30-7:00 pm at the Walter Johnson High School gym.
What: Founded by former Georgetown Lombardi patient Xan Korman, Hoops 4 Hope is a 3-on-3 charity basketball tournament and silent auction to benefit the Georgetown Lombardi Pediatric Cancer Clinic. Proceeds will go to the Family Emergency Fund to help parents pay bills, the Pediatric Survivorship Program to help kids battle problems they may face years after their cancer treatments ends, and the Pediatric Palliative Care Program.
Where: Walter Johnson High School gym, 6400 Rock Spring Dr., Bethesda, MD.
Cost: $20 per person, teams should register together.

2013 4th Annual Tony Prestandrea Memorial Golf Tournament, June 20, 2013
The Tony Prestandrea Memorial Golf Tournament was initiated by Susan Prestandrea, wife of the late Tony Prestandrea, as a vehicle for raising awareness and money for gastrointestinal cancer research. In previous years, this event has raised over $20,000 with all proceeds benefitting The Ruesch Center for the Cure of Gastrointestinal Cancers at Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center. The tournament will include several contests including: closest to the pin (men and women), longest drive (men and women), Harley-Davidson hole-in-one hole, Ron Bortnick Ford hole-in-one hole, $5 putting contest, $10 poker game, 1st and 2nd place team prizes, Vegas hole, Mulligans in addition to a silent auction and door prizes.

Time: 9:00 am (registration at 7:30 am)
