Service Awards Luncheon

For over 30 years, the University has recognized employees for their years of service.  Employees are recognized on five year anniversaries. The Service Awards Luncheon honors those individuals with 20 or more years of service to the University.

At the 2009 luncheon, President DeGioia has stated, "Georgetown's dedicated staff members are essential to the University's continued success.  The diversity of talents among our staff helps to shape and sustain Georgetown's ability to provide excellent educational opportunities to talented young men and women; to advance knowledge and understanding in so many fields of endeavor; to influence local, national, and even international decision-making on issues that affect all of us; to challenge ourselves and develop as a spiritual community; to promote justice; and to improve and save human lives.  You truly help us, in ways measurable and immeasurable, to fulfill our mission as both the nation's oldest Catholic and Jesuit university and as a leading international research university."

This years luncheon included over 160 employees, supervisors and guests.
