Employee and Labor Relations

Georgetown has a number of offices that are available to staff and faculty to help resolve complaints and concerns.

The staff of the Office of Employment Services assists employees and managers in identifying and resolving work related performance, attendance and conduct problems. We interpret University Human Resources Policies and provide guidance in administering the University's collective bargaining agreements.

The University has a negotiated grievance procedure for employees represented by unions, a three level dispute resolution process for non represented staff and AAPs and a faculty grievance process.

Employees, students and applicants for employment who feel that they have been discriminated against have access to a grievance process through the Office of Institutional Diversity, Equity, and Affirmative Action (IDEAA).

On the Main Campus the Ombuds Office is available to faculty.
