The NCCIC is a project of the Department of Health and Human Services? Administration for Children and Families.  The Web site serves as a national resource that links information and people to complement, enhance and promote the child care delivery system in the nation.  The Web site provides information and resources about finding appropriate child care for your child in your area, in addition to funding and policy issues regarding child care in downloadable formats.

Child Care Aware

Child Care Aware is a non-profit initiative dedicated to helping parents find the best and most affordable care for their children.  The group works in a joint effort with HHS and the Administration for Children and Families.  The Web site contains tips for finding appropriate child care, evaluating child care services, and news and information about the latest issues in parenting.  The site also has a free online newsletter.

The Nation's Network of Child Care Resource and Referral (NACCRRA)

NACCRRA aims to provide vision, leadership and support to community child care, as well as promote national policies and partnerships.  It is a membership organization for child care providers around the country, but it also serves as a wealth of information for parents with questions about the child care process.  Its resource exchange section provides links to other sites with information on all aspects of child care ? finance, policy and safety, among other topics.

This Web site is the best source for child care information within the District of Columbia.  Their office has a referral program, as well as links to Department of Health and Human Services programs and initiatives for the safety, health and well-being of DC?s children.
