Enrollment and Tuition Enrollment Children of Georgetown University students, faculty and staff, are eligible for enrollment at Hoya Kids Learning Center. Hoya Kids Learning Center maintains a waiting list and immediate enrollment cannot be expected. Children who are offered a space are typically on the waiting list for a minimum of 18 months prior to enrollment, so early application prior to age-eligibility is highly encouraged. Families may turn in the application form and fee at any time after the child is born. Families are also advised to apply to other programs, or have alternate child care arrangements in the event that a space is not available when you need it, or at all. The preschool (Koalas) classroom is almost always filled with currently enrolled children who have moved into that classroom from the younger classroom. Therefore, children older than 3½ are rarely, if ever, newly enrolled. Families must take a tour at some point prior to enrollment; we will not offer your family a space at Hoya Kids until the tour is completed. It is incumbent upon each family to schedule the tour with our Operations Manager or Assistant Director to ensure that you are eligible to be offered a spot when one becomes available. This allows you the opportunity to determine whether the Center is right for your family before making an enrollment commitment. A security deposit of $500 is required once a space has been confirmed and will be applied toward your child's first month of tuition. Tuition rates include all snacks and milk each day. Children bring their own lunches. To help ensure that the Center is accessible to all members of the Georgetown University community, families (excluding MedStar employees) with combined income below $150,000 are eligible for scholarships.
