Overview of Training ActivitiesTraining activities are developed by our research and training faculty in consultation with collaborating partners. The views of family members, consumers, and persons representing diverse cultures help shape these activities. Throughout project duration, key constituencies will continue to assist in refining and finalizing the training content and formats. Training content will derive from the research activities of the project and be developed for the varied skill levels of the intended trainees. Activities will combine the transfer of new knowledge, approaches for reflective thought, opportunities for practice, and strategies for action. Training will be conducted in accessible buildings with multiple formats and interpreters will be available as needed. Target audiences for training activities are
Our training activities will utilize research findings to increase knowledge or change attitudes or practices of organizations, programs, or individuals towards enhancing service delivery for children with disabilities and special health care needs. Our Consortium is committed to providing the training supports and assistance to ensure full and active participation of all individuals.
