Assistant Dean Emily Zenick
In her role as Assistant Dean, Dean Zenick helps first year students assimilate into a new culture, a familiar task given her overseas rearing by wonderfully adventuresome parents. After earning degrees in Speech Communication and Political Science at Syracuse University, she began her career in education serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Thailand where she taught English and developed income-generating projects for local women. She came to Georgetown in 1996 to earn a Master's degree in Applied Linguistics with a primary interest in second language acquisition of Third Culture Kids. Prior to her arrival to the SFS, Ms. Zenick held the position of Assistant Dean in the McDonough School of Business.
