Pre-registration at Georgetown

During your final semester abroad, you will need to pre-register for your courses for the next semester at Georgetown. You should pre-register using Student Access + just as you do on campus. Check the Globe for pertinent announcements.

Preparation

• Pre-registration deadlines and procedures are available on the Registrar?s website.
• The Schedule of Classes is also available on the Registrar?s website.
• Course lists for IHIS are available on the IHIS website. Click on the "courses" tab.
• To find out what classes you need to take, check your degree audit in Student Access +

Permission of the instructor

If you want to take a course that requires permission of the instructor, contact the professor directly, and ask him or her to send confirmation that you have permission to both the dean and the registrar?s office.

Faculty mentoring

You do not need to confirm faculty mentoring while you are abroad, although it is wise to keep regular contact with your mentor while you are away.

Problems

If your study abroad site has limited internet access and you have difficulty completing pre-registration online, contact your dean.

If you have any problems with the pre-registration process, please contact your dean.
