Who is eligible for services at CAPS?
Full-time students (graduate and under-graduate) are eligible for all services at CAPS, including evaluations, consultations, individual, couples, and group psychotherapy, and referral services.
Part-time students, including thesis/dissertation-only students, are eligible for evaluations, consultations, and referral services, but not on-going services.
Faculty and staff are eligible for consultations and referral services.
What are the services offered at CAPS, and what are the fees?
Range of Services: CAPS offers a broad range of psychological and psychiatric services that attempt to balance the unique needs of individual students with the broader demands of a diverse campus community. Accordingly, in order to best serve the needs of our campus at large, open-ended or extended psychotherapy and medication maintenance services are limited and cannot be routinely offered. Such service offerings are based on staff availability and student need.
Fees: Psychological evaluations and consultations at CAPS are provided without charge. In the event that continued care at CAPS is recommended, a modest fee will be negotiated with the CAPS clinician. CAPS does not deny services due to a student's financial limitations.
