1.  Who is eligible to use Health Education Services?

All current Georgetown Students, including undergraduate, graduate, law school, and medical school students, may use Health Education Services. 

2.  How do I get to your office?

Health Education Services is located in 207 Village C West.  For directions to our office visit the Hours/Locations/Appointments page.

3.  Does Health Education Services charge for apointments?

Health Education Services does not charge for appointments.  In addition, Health Education Services distributes free take-home pregnancy testing kits that are available for pick-up from our office.

4.  What is the best way to reach a staff member?

Health Education Services has a variety of staff members who are available to meet student's needs.  The best way to reach a staff member directly is to call their personal line or email them.  If you are not sure who you would like to meet with or need to talk to someone immediately, call our main line at (202) 687-8949 for assistance.  If you are experiencing a pregnancy related emergency and need to talk to someone immediately, contact the emergency pager at (202) 668-8588 between the hours of 10am-10pm daily.   In addition, Health Education Services distributes free take-home pregnancy testing kits that are available for pick-up from our office.  If you are experiencing a sexual assault emergency please contact Jen Schweer at (202) 687-0323 during the week day or DC Rape Crisis at (202) 333-RAPE after hours.   

5.  What if I am part of the media or doing a student project?

Health Education Services makes every attemtp to meet with members of the Georgetown media and with student groups working on academic projects.  We understand that often students are working with deadlines and academic due dates, however, our first priority is to provide direct services to students.  IT is possible that a staff member may not be available immediately to talk with members of the media or student projects.  To meet with as many students as possible, we request that members of the medial and student groups schedule appointments at least 5 business days prior to the meeting date.  Individual staff members will meet with students per their availability.

6.  What type of services does Health Education Services provide?

Health Education Services offers a wide variety of services to meet the needs of students.  All services are free of charge and confidential.

7.  Are the services confidential?

All communication with Health Education Services is confidential. 

8.  Is there anything that I cannot discuss at Health Education Services?

Health Education Services is available to meet the needs of students.  You can discuss anything with the staff of Health Education Services in a confidential and respectful environment. 

9.  I am part of a student organization that is sponsoring an event or program.  How do I request co-funding from Health Education Services?

To request funding from Health Education please complete the Funding Request Form.
