HOW TO USE RESNET: GETTING STARTED

Every student at Georgetown has access to a high speed Internet connection via the wireless network in the residence halls or through a wired connection in every room or apartment. Here are some basic instructions on how to connect to the network.

  1. First you will need a computer. The Georgetown network supports both Windows and Macintosh computers. If you don't have a computer, Hoya Computing offers Dell and Apple desktops and laptops at student discount prices.
  2.
  3. Make sure your computer meets the minimum requirements to connect to the Georgetown network.
  4.
  5. If you prefer a wired connection, find out for which type of Internet connection your residence hall is wired.
  6.
  7. For information on configuring your computer or wireless device for the AirHoya wireless network, click here.
