Using NAV 8.0: Editing Scheduled Scans

You may wish to scan your computer's files. You can also schedule scans to run automatically. Once they've been scheduled, you can edit or delete scanning tasks.

Editing Scheduled Scans

  1. If it is not already open, open the Norton Scheduler panel (see steps 1-6 of Scheduling File Scans if you need help with this).
  1. Click on the task you want to modify (this will highlight it).

  1. Then click on the Edit button.
  1. If needed, change the name of your task.
  1. Click on the select button, this will open the Select a scan target panel. Click on the folder (or drive) that you want to scan, then click on the Open button.
  1. Click on the up/down arrows beside Set a Frequency, then click on how often you want the scan to run.
  1. Click on the date (or day) you want the scan to run.
  1. Click on the up/down arrows beside Set the time, and select an appropriate time to run your scan (make sure you choose a time when your computer will be on, but you won't be too busy).
  1. When you've made all your changes, click on the red dot to close the panel.
  1. You'll be asked if you want to save your changes. Click on the Save button.
  1. This will return you to the Scheduler panel. If you don't want to make any more changes, click on the red dot to close the panel.
