Scheduling LiveUpdates |
- Click on Go (at the top of your screen), then click on Applications.

- This will open the Applications folder.
|
|
- Double click on the Norton AntiVirus icon.
|

- This will start the Norton AntiVirus program.
|

- Click on the Scheduler button.
|
- This will open
the Norton Scheduler panel.
- Click on the LiveUpdate icon.

- Give your update task a name.
- Under Choose a product to update:, click on the up/down arrows and select the type of information you want to download (for example, virus definitions).
- Click on the up/down arrows beside Set a Frequency, then click daily.
- Click on the up/down arrows beside Set the time, and select an appropriate time to run your LiveUpdate (make sure you choose a time when your computer will be on, but you won't be too busy).

- When you've made all your choices, click on the red dot to close the panel.

- You'll be asked if you want to save your changes. Click on the Save button.

- This will return you to the Scheduler panel. If you followed the instructions above, you will now have two LiveUpdate tasks (one weekly and one monthly).
- If you want to modify the monthly update (so it will look for all product updates instead of just virus definitions), see Editing a scheduled LiveUpdate.
- If you don't want to make any more changes, click on the red dot to close the panel.
