Getting Started |
- Turn on the TV. You may use the TV?s remote control to do this (the TV may be on 'stand-by').

- Turn on the PolyCom Video Conferencing unit. The on/off switch is located on the rear of the PolyCom unit (on the left side as you face the camera).

Using the PolyCom remote control |
- Use the PolyCom remote control to initiate, conduct, and terminate your video conference.
|
|
- Press the menu button to ?go back? or withdraw from one screen to the previous screen.
|
|
- Use the arrow keys to navigate around the menus, highlighting different choices. Press the button in the center of the arrow keys to select a highlighted choice.

|
Making and receiving calls |
- The Address Book (looks like a notebook on the main menu) contains previously dialed IP and ISDN numbers.
|
|
- You can make and receive IP calls from any PolyCom unit.
|
|
- You can receive ISDN calls, but you cannot make an ISDN call.
|
|
- To enter the digits in a dialing string, press the numbered buttons on the PolyCom remote control. Use the right-arrow key to insert dots between the octets of an IP address. "141.161.14.23" would be entered by pressing: 141 right arrow 161 right arrow 14 right arrow 23

|
Conducting your conference |
- During a call, you can steer the local camera using the up, down, left, and right arrows. If you press the ?far? button, and if the far-end camera is configured to permit you to do so, you can steer and zoom the far-end camera.

- When you pick up the PolyCom remote control during a call, on-screen icons and picture-in-picture will appear in the lower right corner. When you put down the remote, the icons and picture-in-picture will disappear.

|
Ending your conference |
- To disconnect a call, or hang up, press the hang-up button once, select the call you want to hang up, and press the button again.
|
|
- Remember to turn off both the TV and the PolyCom unit.
